How to get involved?

Did you know that kids in our own community are going hungry every day? A large number of kids in our area are on free or reduced lunch programs. This means when they are at school, they generally receive 2 free meals a day. But, when school is not in session, these kids go hungry. Especially over Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Spring Break. The Oasis Church and other churches are partnering together to join the mission to provide meals to needy kids over these breaks.

We have committed to providing Liberty Point Elementary with 100 backpacks for needy children to take home over Fall Break. Each backpack will provide that individual child with 5. non-perishable, kid friendly, breakfast items, 5 non-perishable, kid friendly lunch items, and snacks to help supplement meals.

Donations can be dropped off at Connecting Point by March 14th. Contact Kris for questions:, 719-647-0800
