HURRICANE HARVEY
RELIEF & RESTORATION UPDATE

Hurricane Harvey and its aftermath have wreaked havoc throughout many parts of southeast Texas.  As the week progresses, the news about the devastation is increasingly heartbreaking.  I wanted to remind our church to continue praying faithfully for those impacted and for those who are serving in various ways.  Many of our sister churches in the area have been affected and are mobilizing in many ways.  Some of you have asked how you can give or participate in the relief and restoration efforts.  Here is updated information on how our church is responding and how you can help.

WAYS YOU CAN HELP
1. Our church has given 10% of Sunday’s (9/3/17)  offering to help with the relief and recovery efforts.
2. Our church is also coming alongside individuals who decide to join in the restoration efforts. Any individual participating and partnering with IDES or other like agencies may be considered for sponsorship by our church.  Sponsorships may be applied for by filling out The Oasis Church’s Sponsorship Request Form at our church office.
3. If anyone wishes to give any donation over and above your regular offering, we are directing you to do that through our Church Partners, TSF & IDES. (see below)

TSF, The Solomon Foundation You may be familiar with TSF already, either by seeing their resent presentation at our church, or by investing with them, or by knowing their role with us by lending us the monies needed to get into this facility.  In response to the relief and restoration efforts, TSF is taking donations to help local churches directly affected by the storm.  100% of donations will go to our sister churches for the rebuilding of their facilities and to help the devastated families affected in their congregations.  If you wish to give over and above your regular offering and wish to give directly to help these faithful churches as they begin to pick up the pieces, you may click on this link www.thesolomanfoundation.org

IDES, International Disaster Emergency Service For over 40 years IDES has been the go-to organization among our sister churches in responding to various emergency situations worldwide.  There are 2 ways through IDES to help in Texas.  If you wish to give, the first $50,000 will be matched funds.  Also, if you wish to get involved with the efforts in Texas yourself go to www.ides.org

and fill out the form at the bottom of the page.  The IDES director is currently working on the ground with 3 of our churches affected, and is assessing a plan of action.  All those wishing to get involved will be contacted and directed on how they might help.

Thank you for being a church who stands ready to help those in need!

Prayerfully, Pastor Greg
